CC-3D carbon-based composite mold: specifications and service-life advantage

CC-3D key figures: carbon-based composite (carbonfibre-reinforced ceramic matrix); 750 °C+ service temperature; 3D hyperboloid/large-curvature forming; ~680–700 °C for normal cover glass; 50×+ graphite mold life.

1Construction

Material: carbon-based composite (carbonfibre-reinforced ceramic matrix). Unlike graphite it does not oxidise/carbonise at 750 °C+, deforms little, holds accuracy, and uses a modular lightweight design for faster changeover, automation-friendly production and strong thermal-cycling tolerance.

2Temperature

Service temperature 750 °C+, supporting high-temperature microcrystalline bending. Reference bands: normal cover glass ~680–700 °C; microcrystalline glass 750 °C+. At 750 °C+ graphite carbonises and loses life, while the carbon-based composite mold stays stable.

3Life and yield

50×+ the service life of graphite, cutting changeover frequency and amortised mold cost; the anti-stick coated high-gloss surface reduces sticking and scratching for higher yield. Supports 3D hyperboloid and large-curvature forming across phone covers/backs, tablets, wearables and automotive displays.
