Selection Guide

How to remove stubborn screen-print ink from phone glass?

Aqueous alkaline boil-off often fails on stubborn screen-print ink. Match the ink system: L506 for TOYO inks (alkali + penetrant dual channel); BL-7M056-V2 for high-volume back-cover/frame stripping (80 °C, ~7 min, 1581 parts validated); L515 high-solvent custom grades for unusual inks.

1Identify the ink system first

Resin chemistry decides the route: alkali-hydrolysable resins suit strong alkali plus penetrant stripping, while highly crosslinked or solvent-borne resins often need a high-solvent system. When unsure, pilot-test with the actual ink grade rather than assuming.

2Production case and parameters

BL-7M056-V2 targets high-volume stripping of TOYO ink on phone glass backs/frames: neat pH >14, working pH 13.2–13.6; 78–82 °C (80 °C recommended, never below 75 °C); ~7 min; spray 0.3–0.5 MPa; refractive index monitored at 1.337–1.345 (top up concentrate below 1.335, water above 1.345); flash point >100 °C, non-flammable as used. Toxic solvents removed, Apple RSL compliant.

3How to choose

TOYO inks → L506 (dual-channel alkali hydrolysis plus penetrant swelling); high-volume stripping with bath monitoring → BL-7M056-V2; stubborn inks that resist aqueous alkaline boil-off → L515 (high-solvent, customised to the ink system and line).
