Technical Description

HT-300 is a ceramic-based, water-borne high-temperature release coating for glass hot-bending molds. It withstands 850°C+ in oxidizing atmospheres, the range where graphite molds oxidize most severely, benchmarking imported commercial ceramic release coatings in the 850–900°C class. The coating is sprayed onto graphite mold surfaces via an inorganic-binder route to form a release film, with a 900–1250°C upgrade currently under development.

Introduction

HT-300 High-Temperature Hot-Bending Release Coating (HT-300) is developed by SEMPURION for Graphite molds / glass hot-bending (ceramic release coating sprayed on graphite mold surfaces to separate the glass during forming) as a Cleaning / Grinding product.Key advantage: Ceramic-based high-temperature release coating for glass hot bending; withstands 850°C+ in oxidizing atmospheres (900–1250°C upgrade under development).. Benchmarked against Imported commercial ceramic-based high-temperature release coatings (850–900°C range). Key features: Ceramic-based high-temperature release coating withstanding 850°C+ in oxidizing atmospheres; graphite hot-bending molds oxidize readily at high temperature, making ceramic coatings the mainstream release/isolation choice; 900–1250°C oxidation-range upgrade under development. Typical process: Water-based ceramic coating system (inorganic binder route); sprayed onto graphite mold surfaces to form a film.
