Technical Description

J360 is an ambient-temperature stripper for vacuum-deposited chrome coatings (mirror-silver finish) on glass. It uses an eco-friendly acidic system free of hydrofluoric acid and potassium ferricyanide. Stripping runs at ambient temperature with no heating, takes 2–5 min in typical conditions, and works with both ambient immersion and ambient spray. The eco-friendly acidic route replaces conventional strong-acid systems, maintaining stripping capability while significantly reducing handling hazards and waste-treatment burden. For vacuum-deposited chrome coatings on glass (mirror-silver finish, coating rework / stripping); other substrates should be compatibility-checked first.

Introduction

J360 Ambient-Temperature Vacuum-Chrome Stripper (J360) is developed by SEMPURION for Stripping of vacuum-deposited chrome coating (mirror-silver finish) from glass (rework) as a De-inking / Stripping product.Key advantage: Ambient-temperature stripping · eco-friendly acidic system · HF-free, no potassium ferricyanide · 2–5 min stripping. Benchmarked against Industry-standard approaches for stripping vacuum-deposited chrome coatings. Key features: Ambient-temperature operation, no heating — no ramp-up step and no heat-related risk; 2–5 min at ambient temperature to strip clean, fast cycle for rework flow; suitable for both ambient immersion and ambient spray; eco-friendly acidic route replacing conventional strong-acid systems; free of hydrofluoric acid and potassium ferricyanide, avoiding high-hazard chemical exposure and waste-treatment burden. Typical process: Ambient immersion or spray (no heating), typically 2–5 min; water rinse → DI rinse → dry; acidic system — apply acid-safe handling and protection.
